NEWARK, DE — INVISTA’s Specialty Materials business expanded its footprint by 20 percent at the company’s 60,000-square-foot Applied Research Centre in Newark, DE. The expansion provides the necessary space and resources to allow the company to collaborate with customers, develop new products and end-use applications, and further improve existing product offerings.

The new area of the research center will focus on three key business segments: new formulation development using DYTEK^® specialty intermediates, new application development using FLEXISOLV^® solvent solutions and the development of C12™ high-performance intermediates.

INVISTA’s Applied Research Centre offers integrated research and development support for INVISTA’s Apparel, Intermediates and Performance Surfaces & Materials businesses. Dedicated in 2006, the facility houses advanced textile technology, chemistry labs and research capabilities.
