DARMSTADT, Germany/SHANGHAI, China – The Pigments & Cosmetics Technology Application Network China (TANC) of Merck Chemicals China has opened in Shanghai.
Established to meet the growing needs of Chinese customers in the pigments and cosmetics sectors, the TANC evolved from the Merck China Customer Support Center, which was established at Fudan University in 1998, starting with simple printing applications. The center moved into Merck China’s Songjiang Site in 2008, offering basic services for plastic, printing, coating and cosmetic applications.
After the current expansion, the TANC will be able to offer color proposals based on powder coating technology and SPF (sun protection factor) testing to customers in China. Through upgraded chromameters and microscopes, Merck will provide more accurate and comprehensive recommendations to customers on color matching and analyses.
