DALLAS – Oxea will increase list and off-list prices on a number of carboxylic acid and solvent products effective October 1, 2012, or as contracts allow.
In Europe, n-butyric and i-butyric will increase EUR 50/mt, n-valeric and i-nonanoic will increase EUR 80/mt, and n-heptanoic and n-pelargonic will increase EUR 180/mt. In the United States, n-heptanoic and n-pelargonic will increase $0.10/lb; and n-butyric, i-butyric, n-valeric and i-nonanoic will increase $0.05/lb. In Latin America and Asia, n-heptanoic and n-pelargonic will increase $220/mt; and n-butyric, i-butyric, n-valeric and i-nonanoic will increase $100/mt.
In the United States, Canada and Mexico, i/n butanol will increase $0.03/lb (list price, zone 1: $1.78/lb), i/n butyl acetate will increase $0.03/lb (list price, zone 1: $1.51/lb) and n butyraldehyde will increase $0.03/lb (list price, zone 1: $1.79/lb). In South and Central America, i/n butanol and i/n butyl acetate will increase $66/mt.
