TULTITLÁN, Mexico - BASF’s Coatings group recently inaugurated its Paint Application Center and an extension of its Development Laboratory at the company’s production site in Tultitlán, Mexico. The center will strengthen technical support for the automotive industry and develop sustainable and customized coatings materials and technologies. The new facility will support activities including technical service for basecoats, pigments and dispersions, as well as the introduction of new colors.
Focused on sustained growth and innovation for the automotive market, the Coatings division in Mexico is of key importance to the North American Coatings division and its overall focus on serving the automotive market with products and services.
With an investment of $10 million, the new facilities will offer services for the dynamic and growing automotive industry. The investment includes a wet and dry laboratory, spray booths with two electrostatic and three manual functions, and a dispersions laboratory.
