INDEPENDENCE, OH - The Sink or Swim Symposium, hosted by the Cleveland Coatings Society, will take place June 4-5, 2012, at the Holiday Inn in Independence, OH. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Inception Point: Nourishing the Future of Technology.”
Keynote speakers for the event are Kent Young, The Sherwin Williams Co., and Lee Orr, the United Soybean Board, who will give a presentation titled “Bio-Based Coatings Technology: Collaborative Research with Supply Chain Partners.” The conference agenda includes presentations on the latest innovations in the industry.
The symposium will also feature an exhibitor showcase, commercial promotional talks and poster presentations. Two short courses will be offered the afternoon of June 4. “Polymeric Binders for Coatings" will be presented by Dr. Mark Soucek, University of Akron, and "Analytical Science for Formulators" will be presented by Dr. Nemi Jain, The Sherwin Williams Co.
