MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO - MarChem Corp., a producer of polyurethane and plastisol polymers, announced that through the entire 2011 calendar year, no OSHA accident was recorded at its St. Louis, MO, manufacturing plant.

Hershey Feldstein, MarChem Corp. Plant Manager, stated, “MarChem Corp. is committed to provide to its customers and employees a safe work environment. Meeting monthly, the management team reviews potential safety issues, assesses impact and implements corrective action.”

All employees receive annual safety training - utilizing more than 40 programs from the MarChem Safety Kit. The programs include subjects such as:  Back Safety, Electrical Safety, Driving Safety, Safety Audits and Personal Protection Equipment. By taking a proactive approach to safety, MarChem Corp. has created a safe environment that minimizes accident costs to the company.
