INDIANAPOLIS- Jack Wickham, Ace Hardware Corp.’s Vice President of Manufacturing for its Ace Paint Division and Chair of the PaintCare® Board of Directors, received the George Baugh Heckel Award. The award is the association’s highest honor. Wickham received the award during ACA’s 125th Anniversary Reception and Dinner. Wickham was recognized for his leadership and vision as a founding member and first-ever chair of the PaintCare program’s Board of Directors. PaintCare is a 501(c)(3) organization whose sole purpose is to ensure effective operation and efficient administration of paint product stewardship programs on behalf of all architectural paint manufacturers in the United States. Wickham, a member of ACA’s Board of Directors from 2007 through 2012, was part of the Executive Workgroup that established the PaintCare program and was appointed Chair of the Board at its first meeting in October 2009. In his three years of stewardship of the program, PaintCare has been successfully implemented in the state of Oregon, and has begun implementation in two other states: California and Connecticut.
