MICHELMAN INC.: Michem Guard 1350 and 1351 are both nonionic dispersions of polyethylene wax that improve rub and abrasion resistance in pigmented and semigloss coatings, inks and OPVs. They prevent blocking and cause minimal reduction in gloss. Michem Guard 1350 features a narrow particle size distribution centered at approximately one micron, giving it a unique balance of rub resistance and gloss at very low addition rates, typically just 3-5 percent of total formula weight. Michem Guard 1351 contains an efficient solids content of 65 percent.
