CHICAGO – Vantage Oleochemicals will increase the price for all grades of tallow oleic acid manufactured in Chicago. The price increase of 3 cents per pound will take effect April 1, 2012, for all non-contracted customers and as contracts allow. The price change has been prompted by the high demand of tall oil-based oleic acid with the subsequent switch to tallow oleic acids, and to compensate for the most recent run up in tallow prices.
