RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC - Effective March 1, 2012, or as contracts allow, the synthetic polymers group of Forbo Adhesives LLC will increase the price for all emulsion polymer products. Forbo’s vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) copolymers, vinyl acrylics and PVAc homopolymers will increase by $.03 per wet pound. This includes the Elvace^®, Plyamul^® and PACE^® product brands. The company will also increase pricing for all pure acrylic, styrene acrylic and styrene butadiene polymers by 5 to 7 cents per wet pound. This includes the Acryltac^® and Copro^® product brands. These increases affect applications including, but not limited to, adhesives, construction products, non-wovens, carpet and textile applications.
