DENVER, CO - Organizers of the ASC Spring Conference and Expo have announced the keynote speakers and topics for the event, slated to take place April 15-17, 2012, at the Grand Hyatt, Denver, CO.
The keynote speaker for the opening general session is Dr. Ken Mayland, President, ClearView Economics LLC. His presentation, “The 2012 Economic Update: How to Profit in a Crummy Economy,” will analyze whether the current recovery is still on track, the arithmetic of the 2012 outlook and why recent economic growth has been so disappointing. Vincent Yuskiewicz, Energy Advisor, Corporate Strategic Planning, ExxonMobil Corp., will give the keynote address for the Tuesday general breakfast session. His presentation, “The Outlook for Energy: A View to 2040,” will share key findings of this year’s energy outlook. For the lunch general session, Dr. Robert Peoples, Director, ACS Green Chemistry Institute, will speak. His presentation, “The Shifting Tide of Chemistry in the 21st Century,” will focus on the proven methods of design and manufacture of chemicals using the new paradigm of green chemistry. Closing out the conference will be Mark LaFrance, Technology Development Manager, U.S. Department of Energy. His presentation, “U.S. DOE Building Envelope R&D Activity and Opportunities for the Adhesive and Sealant Industry,” will provide an overview of the latest research at the U.S. Department of Energy related to building-envelope systems.
