Low-VOC Alkyd
With the rise in the number of green commercial projects with tough VOC restrictions, many painters are frustrated with the lack of an acceptable solution for areas traditionally coated with alkyd coatings. The combination of the accustomed look, feel and handling of alkyd coatings with low-VOC technology has remained elusive.
At 50 grams per liter VOC, Ascend interior/exterior alkyd enamel meets the toughest VOC restrictions, but where it excels is in its application and performance characteristics. Ascend uses a conventional alkyd resin system but is paired with a new technology to reduce VOCs. So, the same attributes associated with other alkyd coatings still apply to Ascend.
