Huber Engineered Materials Announces Price Increase

ATLANTA — Huber Engineered Materials, a division of J.M. Huber Corp., announced a price increase for its entire line of alumina trihydrate (ATH), magnesium hydroxide (MDH) and cast polymer products. The increase will be effective January 1, 2012, or as current contracts allow. Prices will increase from three to eight percent depending on product grade, packaging and freight terms.
ATH and MDH are non-halogen fire-retardant additives used in a variety of reinforced plastics, engineering thermoplastics, rubber, carpet backing, cast polymer, coatings, roofing, adhesives, insulator and wire and cable jacketing applications.

This isn't that big as of a hike that I have heard of. A buddy of mine works with Indianapolis Roofers and he said that they have seen increases on some items over 15% in the last year. It's of no wonder to see that the economy is improving, I think it is a good sign.
