No. 1001 comprises two electrically-heated, 500ºF (~260ºC) universal ovens from Grieve, specially modified for simultaneous operation with reduced movement by one worker in the performance of general heat processing operations. Workspace dimensions in each oven measure 24”W x 24”D x 24”H. Five kilowatts are installed in Nichrome wire elements to heat each unit, while a 400 cfm, 1/3-hp recirculating blower provides front-to-rear universal airflow across the load in each unit.
These universal ovens each feature 4” insulated walls throughout, aluminized stainless steel interior and exterior, motor-operated vertical lift door with foot pedal actuation and an integral leg stand.
Identical controls on each oven are housed in a NEMA 12 control panel, mounted on opposite sides of the respective ovens for easy access by one individual positioned between them. The controls on each oven include an automatic door switch to shut off heat and blower motor when the door is opened, as well as a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate control contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and seven-day, 24-hour start-up timer.
