The technology offers optically clear, anti-stick, heat and UV stable properties in single component formulas.

Specialty coatings formulator and manufacturer SEI Chemical has been contractually appointed by Clariant Corp. as the first authorized agent worldwide for Clariant’s polysilazane resins and products through its KiON® division. SEI Chemical is providing formulation development, resin incorporation, sales and marketing, technical and customer assistance.

The technology offers optically clear, anti-stick, heat and UV stable properties in single component formulas. The resins and coatings are now offered by SEI Chemical for applications calling for high-end and long-term anti-graffiti and anti-grime applications. New, proprietary polysilazane technology is claimed to be a quantum leap in the anti-graffiti and industrial coatings business. Applications include transportation (interior and exterior), facades and shutters, containers, bridges, public use facilities (restrooms, playgrounds and recreational equipment), marine vessels, bus shelters and benches and all types of signage. The product line is especially effective on a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and galvanized metals, painted and powder coated surfaces and synthetic materials. The coatings reportedly are highly resistant to acid and alkaline cleaning products.
