DSM Desotech, a developer of high-performance UV-curable coatings, inks and matrix resins to the optical fiber industry, has received ISO-9001 certification for its China operation. The certification includes a sales office in Shanghai, as well as a local production facility, DSM Desotech Specialty Chemicals (Shanghai), Ltd. (DDSC).
The company opened DDSC in 2005 in response to significant growth in the Asian optical fiber and cable market. The plant currently produces Cablelite® fiber optic inks for the Asia-Pacific region and is Desotech's fourth manufacturing facility to date to receive ISO 9001 certification.
