Responding to a need for improved process and energy efficiency for companies that use wet grinding processes, NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology, LLC, has begun offering a turnkey, outsourced engineering service called Total System Solutions. Companies can use the new service for engineering and project management of new and expanding plants. The program's single-source accountability allows for increased efficiency of the design process, as well as future production processes.
Under the Total System Solutions program, NETZSCH conducts site surveys and feasibility studies, designs and engineers turnkey plants and systems, and specifies optimal mixing and grinding machinery to meet product specifications and processing parameters. The company acts as principal contractor, using local suppliers for the construction and equipment installation. After plant startup, NETZSCH provides operator training and on-going support and service to the plant. The company’s specialists are trained in health and safety, lifting, first aid, hot work, vessel entry, risk assessment, and issuing of work permits.
Also available as part of the program is the company’s Module 2000. Designed to meet any specification, the "plant-on-a-skid” allows for simple relocation when a plant floor layout or location changes. According to the company, it costs nearly 25% less than configuring a system with individual components.
