Stäubli Robotics has added two new painting robots to its product line - the RX160EX and the RX160EXL CS8C EX with cCSAus approval. The RX160 EX/LEX has been CSA- and CE-approved by KEMA, which is the certification organization both for Europe and North America. This certification follows the European CE, the North American FM, and the Canadian CSA standard for painting, coating, aggressive solvent-based cleaning, and explosive ordinance assembly/decommissioning applications.
The main features of the RX paint robots include an enclosed rigid structure, multiple mounting configurations, a large working envelope, and a small footprint. In addition, the new VALPaint software provides a simplified user programming and application tuning interface for all painting parameters. The main features of VALPaint are the easy creation of painting jobs using predefined functions to build a scenario including: trajectory, I/O, preset functions, delays, sub programs, and multiple gun management right off of the teach pendant. The fast and simple tuning of paint parameters simplify the modification of painting applications without stopping production.
