International Paint has been selected to deliver high-performance coatings systems in tandem with lining systems from its recently acquired Ceilcote line to help the Indiana-based Alcoa-Warrick Station Power Plant comply with new safety regulations.
Simms Painting Co., Inc. of Evansville, IN, will apply the exterior and interior coating and lining systems that will protect the five new 50 x 60-foot diameter tanks that support the power plant’s scrubber system. Tank interiors will be coated with Ceilcote® Flakeline 140 on the walls, Flakeline 242 HT on ceilings, and Ceilcrete 6640 AR on the floors and sidewalls. Tank exteriors will use International Paint’s Interseal® 670 HS and Interthane® 990 coating systems.
“I have worked with International Paint LLC and Ceilcote USA, Inc. for many years and trust in the product performance of each,” said Stacy Kueber, vice president of Simms Painting. “Now [that they are] a one-source supplier, contractors and engineering specifiers will appreciate the convenience and access to excellent technical support services.”
