The new RETOX® LFC modular regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs) are designed to provide cost-effective volatile organic compound (VOC) abatement for large flow capacity (LFC), VOC-laden paint and industrial finishing processes from 60,000 to 80,000 cfm flowrates with individual units. Standard features of the new systems include 99% solvent VOC abatement and flameless no-NOx (nitogen oxide) operation after a rapid burner startup. The RTOs also include low-pressure-drop, corrosion-resistant ceramic heat exchangers rated at 95% primary thermal heat recovery effectiveness, which provides fuel-free auto-thermal operation at 3% and greater inlet solvent VOC inlet loadings at full flow rates. The shop assembled dual chamber RTO modules are skid mounted with a compact footprint and include automatic PLC controls with telemetry diagnostics. Specialized RTO metallurgy and acid gas scrubber packages are available for halogenated, wood finishing, spray booth, roll coating and paint booth applications.
