Effective October 1, 2006, Arkema is increasing the prices of its EVA copolymers by 100 euros/tonne (approx. $127/ton). The increase will apply to the entire Evatane® product range sold around the world. "The cost of raw materials, energy and transportation has now reached record levels after a steady increase over nearly three years. Despite strenuous efforts to contain all its costs, Arkema is left with no option but to pass on part of these price rises," the company said in a statement.
