After more than two years of development and thorough field testing, Columbia Chemical has introduced TriVecta® Black 100 trivalent chromate for zinc-plated parts.

Jet black and glossy, the product reportedly provides a thick, uniform finish - even on difficult-to-plate parts. According to the company, this environmentally safe process is highly resistant to corrosion and scratches. It tolerates more than 10,000 ppm of zinc buildup, and it is free of precipitation and sludge. It is designed to remain stable, even after month-long shutdowns.
