The Polymers and Coatings program at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Calif., is offering a Polymers and Coatings Introductory Short Course on July 18-22. The one- week course will cover many aspects of coatings technology, including resin chemistry, pigments and fillers, additives, VOC and application aspects, and rheology with emphasis on liquid coatings. The course includes daily laboratory sessions during which participants prepare and test polymers and coatings. In addition, the short course will bring together a mix of academic and industrial experts in the field to guarantee that both fundamental and application aspects are addressed with equal emphasis.
