Goyer Management International Inc. (GMI), in cooperation with the Chemical Coaters Association International, announced the launching of a new conference and trade show to serve the industrial finishing market. Finish '07 International Trade Fair and Conference will debut September 17-20, 2007, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

Anne Goyer, president of GMI, says, "Many of the companies that have typically exhibited at finishing industry events in the past have expressed an interest in continuing to offer a trade show and educational conference that encompasses all finishing technologies. With the decision recently conveyed to us that the Coating show would not be held in 2007, we believed the demand from both exhibitors and attendees is strong enough to justify the launch of this new event."

Goyer also announces that the executive committee of CCAI has agreed to be a major sponsor of the event. CCAI will assist in the development and coordination of the technical conference, marketing and promotion, and CCAI corporate members will be eligible for a reduced cost of exhibiting.

According to CCAI president Jeff Watson of R3 Technologies, "The mission of CCAI focuses on the education of finishing end users, and this event will help us to fulfill that mission by continuing to make high level educational content available to the industry, as well as providing an exhibition to help our corporate membership market their products to the end-user community in a face-to-face environment. Because CCAI members are involved in all areas of industrial finishing, we feel this is an appropriate event to receive our support."

CCAI past president Jerry Trostle of Wagner Systems Inc. added, "CCAI has been supporting a conference and show in the finishing industry for more than 30 years. From our company's standpoint, having an opportunity to exhibit in an industry event in 2007 is desirable. As a member of the CCAI board of directors, Finish '07 enables us to further the educational mission of the association, while at the same time providing a benefit to our corporate members through a reduced booth cost for those members."

Finish '07 will be focused on the needs of end users of all industrial finishing technologies, including liquid coatings, powder coatings, electrocoat, UV-curable coatings and plating, as well as the other technologies used by those end users, such as cleaning and pretreatment, material handling and curing of the finished coating where necessary.
