David Green's #27 racecar sported PCI's "Powder Coated Tough" logo for several races this summer.

At Coating 2005 last month, visitors to Pneu-Mech Systems Mfg.'s booth had the opportunity to meet NASCAR's Grand National Championship driver David Green, who teamed up with Pneu-Mech to help promote the coating business and PCI. Green's racecar even sported the Powder Coating Institute's "Powder Coated Tough" logo for several races this summer.

When the veteran racecar driver races in Charlotte, N.C., this month (October 14-15), some lucky winners from the Coating Show will be in tow. Susan Leonard and her husband Chris from Indiana-based Omni industries received passes for four to Friday's Busch race. Jeff Bemis from AlumniGuard in Florida won four pit passes for Saturday's Nextel Cup race. The winners and their guests get to accompany Green for a NASCAR weekend they mostly likely will never forget.

Although Green plans to keep racing for a few years, when asked what he will do after that, he grinned and said, "I enjoy crossing the finish line, so who knows? Maybe the finishing industry is calling my name?"
