ZHENJIANG, China – The specialty chemical company Rhodia announced three new production units at its Zhenjiang, China, site for its Novecare’s specialty surfactants and polymers and Aroma Performance’s guaiacol and IBCH (isoBornyl cyclohexanol) products. The extended production capacities will enable Rhodia to meet the growing demand from local customers and will increase its service level in terms of delivery and response time. An opening ceremony for the new productions units included officials from Zhenjiang government and Rhodia top management.

The development of the new facilities complies with the strictest environment and safety standards, achieving the safety record of zero accidents for over 2.3 million hours worked. The most advanced production technologies applied in Zhenjiang will significantly reduce the wastewater, salt production and air emissions, illustrating Rhodia’s commitment to sustainable development in all countries where the company operates.
