EDINBURGH, Scotland - Exova, the global materials testing provider, has been highlighted as one of Britain’s leading mid-market private companies in a list compiled byThe Sunday Times.

The company, headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland, was placed at 156 in the table, the Top Track 250, and was the only business of its type to appear on the list.The Sunday TimesHSBC Top Track 250 identifies the “mid-ranking private businesses that are rising to the challenging market conditions.” It ranks the top 250 companies by sales, highlighting those that are “leading the recovery” by including only those businesses that have increased revenues or, where sales have decreased, have boosted their operating profits.

Exova is a specialist in laboratory testing services and operates from 110 facilities in 24 countries. The company employs more than 3,500 staff. It provides critical testing services in a number of sectors including food, aerospace, oil and gas, and fire safety.
