Clariant: JMAC® Silver Technology for hygiene coatings reduces the spread of bacteria over the long term. Based on the inorganic composite of silver chloride on titanium dioxide, the released silver ions interact with microorganisms such as gram+ and gram– bacteria, yeasts and mold. The resulting effect ranges from growth inhibition to cell death. Controlled release over a long period of time ensures long-term effectiveness with very low environmental impact.
