CLEVELAND - The 54th Annual Sink or Swim Technical Symposium will be held at the University of Akron in conjunction with the Department of Polymer Engineering on May 24-25, 2011.
The event will feature a one-day exhibit on May 24, punctuated with a reception in the exhibiting hall. Organizers promise a strong technical program again this year, as well as a short course.

Industry professionals who are interested in presenting a paper or poster at the event have until March 20, 2011, to submit an abstract. Potential topics include: nanocoatings and sustainable technologies; raw materials, surfactants and additives; application methods and equipment; industry trends; pigment dispersions; improved corrosion resistance; emulsion polymers and new polymer technologies; automotive coatings; wood coatings; VOC, HAPs and RoHs issues; analysis and characterization; process and manufacturing; and color technology.
