FONTANA, IL - Jess Walton Lobdell passed away March 23, 2011. He was 82 years old. Lobdell was born June 6, 1928, in Belvidere, IL. He served in the Army from September 1946 to January 1948 and was stationed near Sendai, Japan, during the occupation.

Upon graduation from college, he worked for Barbar-Coleman Co. and Crown Industrial Products. He purchased Tuff-Kote Co. in Woodstock, IL, and owned and managed it until his retirement in 2004. The company is still family owned and operated.
