Viachem Ltd. has added the full line of Marubeni’s vinyl resins to its portfolio, which currently includes Marubeni’s F310 polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) product.

PLANO, TX – Viachem Ltd. has added the full line of Marubeni’s vinyl resins to its portfolio, which currently includes Marubeni’s F310 polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) product. Viachem will provide North American sales, service and distribution for the full vinyl resin product line, supplementing Marubeni’s direct-sales efforts to key accounts.

Marubeni’s vinyl resins group is comprised of two distinct product lines. The vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymers and their maleic and hydroxyl terpolymers have been used for many years, and their chemistry is well known to the North American coating industry. The addition of the vinyl chloride/vinyl isobutyl ethers adds a greater breadth of product compatibility and solubility, as these copolymers are completely soluble in ethyl acetate, glycol ethers and other weak polar solvents.
