GUANGZHOU, China - The rescheduling of ChinaCoat 2010 to the end of September did not stop support from the global coatings industry. The organizer, Sinostar International, Hong Kong, reported a total of 751 direct exhibitors, an increase of 14.6 percent compared to the 655 exhibitors in 2009. Among the companies exhibiting, 214 were first-time exhibitors.

The show’s proximity to the China National Holiday, which fell on October 1-7, did have some impact on show attendance, with the number of domestic Chinese visitors down slightly. However, the total number of overseas visitors increased by nine percent, to 3,377, which is a record-breaking figure.
