MONSTREAL, Canada - The Protech-Oxyplast Group Montreal, Canada, won the Surface Innovation Award during the Surface Exhibition held in The Netherlands from October 12-14, 2010. The award was granted to Protech-Oxyplast Belgium for the development of its ag-kote range of low-curing powder coatings with excellent degassing properties.

With this powder coating, the company has succeeded in developing an environmentally friendly coating with higher efficiency and better properties. Ag-kote contributes to a considerably lower consumption of energy, a lower use of powder coating and higher productivity.

The jury, consisting of well-known members of the surface-treatment sector, selected the winner on a number of criteria: originality, innovative character, the commercial feasibility and the added value given to the surface treatment of the project or product.

The Chairman of the jury presented the prize to Karl Pint, Sales & Marketing Manager of Protech-Oxyplast, during the openings ceremony of the exhibition on October 12, 2010.
