Wilden introduced its Advanced™ Series stainless-steel air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps that feature the performance versatility necessary for use in paint manufacturing operations where the transfer of such diverse products as resins, solvents and pigments is required. Wilden is a worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm pump technology and an operating company within Dover Corporation’s Pump Solutions Group (PSG).
Advanced Series pumps are available in four port sizes: PX200 25 mm (1”), PX400 38 mm (1-1/2”), PX800 51 mm (2”) and PX1500 76 mm (3”). This allows paint manufacturers to choose a pump that can handle solids that range in size from 6.4 mm (1/4”) to 12.7 mm (1/2”). All Advanced Series stainless-steel pumps have a bolted configuration that ensures total product containment, while the liquid path construction reduces internal friction in order to maximize output and efficiency. A variety of elastomer options eliminate any abrasion, temperature and chemical compatibility concerns.
These pumps also benefit from Wilden’s revolutionary Pro-Flo X™ Air Distribution System, which creates the operational flexibility required in diverse paint manufacturing applications. This flexibility is achieved through the state-of-the-art Efficiency Management System (EMS), which optimizes the Pro-Flo X ADS for specific operation parameters, regardless of the application demands or pump size. The EMS allows the operator to use an integrated control dial to select the efficiency point and flow rate that best suits the application. The results are true cost savings and higher performance that goes beyond what is considered industry standard.
Energy-Efficient AODD Pump Solutions for Chemical-Transfer Applications
Wilden also offers its Advanced Series Metal and Plastic AODD pumps that provide true cost savings for manufacturers and operators in the chemical-transfer industry when compared to other AODD pumping technology. Advanced metal and plastic pumps are available with a specialized air-distribution system including the revolutionary Pro-Flo X Air Distribution system. The results are true cost savings brought on by higher performance, lower operational costs and reduced energy costs.Advanced Series Metal pumps are offered in die-cast aluminum, stainless steel and alloy C materials of construction, with a variety of elastomer options, including PTFE, that enable them to meet abrasion, temperature and chemical-compatibility concerns. Their bolted configuration ensures product containment while their redesigned liquid path reduces internal friction, which maximizes output and efficiency. Advanced Metal pumps are available in five sizes, from 6 mm to 76 mm (1/4” to 3”). The pumps feature flow rates to 1,021 lpm (270 gpm) and can handle solids to 76 mm (3”).
Advanced Series Plastic pumps are offered in polypropylene, PVDF and PFA with elastomers of Buna-N®, Neoprene, EPDM, Viton®, Wil-Flex™, Saniflex™, polyurethane and PTFE, again with chemical-compatibility in mind. They have the same bolted configuration as the Metal pumps, as well as the redesigned liquid path. The pumps are available in 6 mm to 76 mm (1/4” to 3”) sizes with the ability to handle solids up to 12.7 mm (1/2”). Maximum flow rates are 784 lpm (207 gpm).
