HEERLEN, The Netherlands - Royal DSM N.V., a life sciences and materials sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, has announced a number of management changes.
 
Ben van Kooten, presently Business Group Director DSM Resins, will retire after more than 35 years of service with DSM. Dimitri de Vreeze, presently Business Unit Director DSM NeoResins+, will succeed him. In his new role de Vreeze will report to Nico Gerardu, Member of the DSM Managing Board. De Vreeze will work with van Kooten through a transition period and will assume responsibility for DSM Resins at the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2010.
 
Steve Hartig, presently President DSM Biomedical, will succeed de Vreeze as Business Unit Director DSM NeoResins+. As announced earlier, Christophe Dardel will succeed Hartig as President DSM Biomedical. Dardel will assume his new responsibilities on May 15, 2010.
