Biographical Notes

After graduating in Chemistry & Economics from Birmingham University, Reg Adams began his career at Amalgamated Metal and was later seconded to English China Clays, where he wrote his M.Sc. thesis on company growth. His first book Titanium & Titanium Dioxide (256 pages) was published by Financial Times Business Information in 1984. He has subsequently co-authored or assisted in the preparation of seven other books and multiclient studies on TiO2. His company - Artikol (founded in 1977) - specializes in market intelligence and publishing on mining and chemicals. Drawing on Artikol’s extensive information database, Reg Adams compiles Focus on Pigments, an monthly 8-page bulletin of embellished abstracts published by Elsevier. The widely acclaimed TiO2 Worldwide Update - a 75:25 joint venture between Artikol and IBMA - is now in its seventeenth year of publication. This independent bimonthly publication typically runs to 40-60 pages and provides comprehensive coverage of all the industry’s news and developments, backed by detailed analysis and penetrating insight.
