TROY, MI – Despite difficult economic times, the major coatings shows that took place in March and April have all reported better-than-expected attendance.
The European Coatings Show plus Adhesives, Sealants, Construction Chemicals featured 806 exhibitors from 42 countries. Exhibitors offered the approximately 20,000 visitors from 90 nations a range of raw materials, laboratory and production equipment, testing and measuring equipment, and services. 160 product presentations at three forums at the heart of the exhibition provided additional information during the three-day event.
The European Coatings Congress included 160 speakers from all over the world. Speakers offered the 461 congress participants a look into the future of the coatings industry in 26 highly compressed sessions.
CORROSION 2009, the annual conference and exhibition of NACE International, spanned nearly a week. Over 4,500 corrosion professionals participated in more than 400 meetings, seminars and technical workshops. Over 350 companies exhibited, making this one of NACE’s top conferences in its 66 years of hosting such events.
Pittcon 2009 reported that 19,018 attendees from 90 countries participated in the annual conference and exposition. The event was marked by a 6-percent increase in conferees over Pittcon 2008. The exposition included 1,006 exhibiting companies, occupying 2,249 booths. More than 130 companies exhibited at Pittcon for the first time.
The 10th UTECH Europe event, held in Maastricht, the Netherlands, was rated a success, with attendance far exceeding the expectations of all exhibitors. More than 2,836 industry professionals from 86 different countries attended the show, including the almost 400 registered delegates for the conference, which ran parallel with the exhibition.
