SÃO PAULO, Brazil - Having as its central theme “The Coatings of the Future,” ABRAFATI 2009 will be held from Sept. 23-25, 2009, at Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil. The event will feature the 11th International Exhibition of Coatings Industry Suppliers and the 11th International Coatings Congress.

 

More than 120 companies have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition, which is still attracting new exhibitors. “We have received many contacts, especially from abroad, where Brazil and Latin America are seen as markets with excellent opportunities, due to their potential and to the smaller impact of the crisis in their economies, as compared to more developed countries,” said the Executive President of ABRAFATI (Brazilian Coatings Manufacturers Association), Dilson Ferreira.

 

The papers submitted for the 11th International Coatings Congress are being evaluated. Presentations will feature ongoing research and recent developments related to sustainability and the future demands related to coatings. Key themes include the reduction or elimination of VOCs, smaller use of energy and water in production, renewable raw materials, and waste management.
