BROADVIEW, IL - B.L. Downey Co. LLC has named Richard L. Metcalf as its Quality Assurance Manager. Metcalf has been working at B.L. Downey Co. since November of last year. He has been involved with the coatings industry for more than 40 years having served as a technical consultant and in a sales capacity for some of the leading coatings manufacturers in the country.

 

Metcalf is a member of many professional associations affiliated with the coating process business and is a firm believer in innovation and continuing education. Prior to coming to B.L. Downey Co., Metcalf worked with PPG for more than 18 years. At PPG, he commissioned new e-coat and powder-coat lines for major OEMs throughout the United States. His work involved developing processes and quality control procedures and programs, as well as training individuals at the new facilities.
