PITTSBURGH – LANXESS Corp.’s Inorganic Pigments Group (IPG) has reached an agreement with Dowd and Guild Inc. and J.F. Shelton Co. to sell the chemical company’s BAYFERROX® inorganic pigments. Both distributors will begin selling the pigments to paint, coatings, plastics and specialty application accounts on Sept. 1, 2008.
Dowd and Guild Inc., based out of California, will focus on pigment sales in California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. J.F. Shelton Co., a Washington-based distributor, will focus its efforts in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. In addition to selling BAYFERROX inorganic pigments, both companies will distribute IPG’s Chrome Oxide Green and natural iron oxide pigments.
Both distributors will sell the inorganic pigments to the plastic, rubber, coatings, ink, adhesive, composite and pet-food industries.
