MIDLAND, MI – Andreas Wolf, a scientist at Dow Corning GmbH in Wiesbaden, Germany, is the recipient of the Lou Toporcer Hall of Fame Award from ASTM International Committee C24 on Building Seals and Sealants. Wolf was recognized for “distinguished service in the area of building seals and sealants and for contributions to the stimulation of research, promotion of knowledge and exceptional service to the building seals and sealants industry and ASTM Committee C24.”

In his more than 25 years with the Dow Corning Corp., Wolf has held various scientific and managerial positions, specializing in insulating glass sealants, structural glazing and structural bonding, durability of sealants and adhesives, and adhesion theory and measurement. He has lectured extensively in Europe, North America and Asia and is the author of more than 120 technical publications. The holder of 18 patents, Wolf has served as editor of seven books on the various aspects of sealant chemistry, durability, testing and applications and has chaired multiple international scientific symposia.
