ATLANTA - Following its successful June 2008 premiere, the next American Coatings Show & Conference will take place April 12-15, 2010, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC. The conference will open its doors on Monday, April 12 and close on April 14. The show will begin on Tuesday, April 13 and run through April 15. The event is hosted by the National Paint & Coatings Association and Vincentz Network. Nürnbergmesse North America, Atlanta is organizer of the show.

At the 2008 premiere, 5,600 visitors from 48 countries gathered information from 331 exhibitors, who displayed products and services related to all aspects of paint and coatings formulation in 69,000 square feet of exhibition space. NPCA President Andy Doyle commented, “A central platform for discourse and business is definitely beneficial for our industry. The sector is very international and just as innovative; professional dialogue between developers, manufacturers and users on a personal level is a decisive advantage when it comes to creating a competitive edge. The 2008 American Coatings Show was completely satisfying in this respect and has already shown greater potential for the future.”

With approximately 750 attendees from 25 countries, the 2008 American Coatings Conference featured more than 70 lectures and other presentations and events. Friederike Plasswich, Manager of Event Services for VN and the person responsible for organizing the conference, is already looking forward to 2010. “The concept of a combination of international top speakers and very current, forward-looking technical subjects is what makes the conference program so appealing. But even we were surprised by the excellent feedback for the first American Coatings Conference. Naturally, we are doing our utmost to put together another top-level conference program for 2010 and to enhance it with new highlights,” noted Plasswich.
