BASF Announces Price Increase for Acrylic Monomers in North America
Effective Aug. 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase prices on its acrylic monomers sold in the United States, Canada and Mexico by the following amounts: glacial acrylic acid will increase by U.S. 0.10 per pound; methyl acrylate will increase by U.S. 0.12 per pound; ethyl acrylate will increase by U.S. 0.12 per pound; butyl acrylate will increase by U.S. 0.12 per pound; and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate will increase by U.S. 0.12 per pound.
These increases are in addition to the surcharges that were communicated to customers in a letter and that were effective July 15, 2008.
