LCP Technology GmbH: Helicone® HC effect pigments are thin, highly transparent platelets of purely organic polymer network with a helical organic polymer structure. This helical structure causes each platelet to behave like a small, selective mirror, with the overall effect of shifting colors in a continuously changing wavelength of reflected light across different viewing angles. Available in six color-transition pairs, HELICONE can be used in a variety of formulations including solvent- and water-based paints, powder coatings, as well as polymer master batches and compounds. It has superior wettability with binders, solvents and polymers.
