FLORHAM PARK, NJ - In December 2006, Troy Corporation announced a long-term agreement with Syngenta Crop Protection AG, Basel, Switzerland, to provide BPD supported terbutryn to the EU market. This agreement is now fully accepted by EU regulators.

As part of the agreement, Syngenta Crop Protection agreed to provide full regulatory support for the active substance terbutryn under the Biocide Products Directive of the European Union. Last month, the EU published an official announcement confirming that CIBA, the original BPD notifier, has withdrawn its notification and support for terbutryn. EU regulators have accepted and acknowledged Syngenta’s support.

Troy and Syngenta have been working together to prepare the terbutryn dossier for the past 12 months, and the alliance offers Troy the opportunity to continue to provide the EU marketplace with terbutryn.
