Rohm and Haas Co.and the Japanese specialty-chemicals manufacturer Chemicrea Inc. announced a global manufacturing and distribution agreement involving the manufacture of certain isothiazolone biocides.

Rohm and Haas Co., Philadelphia, said its Consumer and Industrial Specialties group and the Japanese specialty-chemicals manufacturer Chemicrea Inc. announced a global manufacturing and distribution agreement involving the manufacture of certain isothiazolone biocides. The companies said the agreement will allow broader distribution of biocide products. Rohm and Haas added that the agreement, combined with recent investments at its production sites in the United States and Europe, reflects its efforts to expand its global position in biocides. The company recently expanded its biocides capabilities with the acquisition of the Swiss company Acima and a toll-manufacturing agreement with Pinus of Slovenia.
