CoatingsMart Inc. also plans to expand its product portfolio to include additional industrial and specialty coatings products, the companies said. Ferro, Valspar and the Morton Powder Coatings unit of Rohm and Haas Co. are major producers of powder coatings.
The coatingsmarket website enables registered buyers to search or browse a comprehensive online catalog of products, in addition to information on product properties and data sheets. Users can place orders with multiple suppliers and check the status of shipments. Charles Rice, coatingsMart’s chief information officer, said the company plans to add features and benefits to further assist buyers and sellers in reducing costs and gaining efficiencies.
