WESEL, Germany - ALTANA Electrical Insulation, a business unit of ALTANA Chemie AG, announced the start of operations of a production plant in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China. The facility will produce wire enamels, impregnating resins (varnishes) and compounds, with an annual capacity of 25,000 metric tons. ALTANA Chemie, based in Wesel, Germany, also operates production facilities in Shunde and Tongling, China.
