DENVER - Professional Paint Inc.'s Frazee Industries subsidiary has acquired the non-manufacturing assets of Classic Paint, an Arizona-based company that operates retail stores in Prescott Valley, Prescott, Kingman, and Bullhead City, AZ.

Classic Paint, headquartered in Prescott Valley, is a manufacturer and retailer of architectural coatings that was founded in 1979.

Professional Paint said the four stores being acquired will be operated under the Classic/Frazee name. The addition of the stores will increase the number of Frazee locations to 99 in California, Arizona and Nevada. Frazee Industries is a regional paint manufacturer and retailer based in San Diego.

Privately held Professional Paint also owns the regional coatings companies Hanley Paint, El Paso, TX; Parker Paint, Tacoma, WA; Kwal Paint, Denver; Sophir Morris Paint, Omaha; Stellar Kwal Paint (formerly Jones-Blair), Dallas; Duckback Products Inc., Chico, CA; General Paint, Vancouver, British Columbia; and Ideal Paints, Toronto.
