BASF Corp., Southfield, MI, said its Glasurit 55 Line of products has been selected as the exclusive refinish system to be used at the new "BMW Performance Center," a multipurpose facility located adjacent to BMW's assembly plant in Greer, SC. The company also said its Automotive OEM Coatings business group has received Ford Motor Co.'s Henry Ford Technology Award for Manufacturing as a result of development of the Ureclear clearcoat, a one-component system based on carbamate technology. The company's Industrial Coatings group announced plans to enter the North American foil-coatings market by supplying ultraviolet- and electron-beam-cure waterborne coatings to several markets.
